The Warrior Is A Child, Evans Olang

Psalm 61:1-8, “vs. 2…From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I…”

We often get overwhelmed with daily responsibilities. Sometimes when you are still working on this, here comes another one. While trying to work on another one, here comes a new one. Everything has its season and how we deal with situations during certain seasons may determine the outcome. The overwhelming situations can choke out peace, confidence and courage, as weeds do choke good plants if they remain active in the same field with good plants. You may be dealing with overwhelming situations both at home and work, let us see what the Lord has for us. Continue reading “The Warrior Is A Child, Evans Olang”

Asleep On Delilah’s Lap, Evans Olang

Judges 16:19, “Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him”

The enemy has a mission to put believers to sleep and I believe he has been successful in so many levels. The lost are asleep in the dark (sin), believers are asleep in the light. Many believers in the church have been lulled to sleep while the enemy is cutting off their seven locks symbolizing strength, leaving believers with no strength to fight back. He knows he cannot knock you out by a blow, so he tries to find ways to put you to sleep. He knows in your sleep you will yield your strength to him, leaving you dormant and inactive. We Are At War, Part 1of2, Evans Olang

2Corinthians 10:3-5, “3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh…”

It is vital for Christians to know who they are in Christ and their position in the Kingdom. It is also good to know exactly where you fit in as a player in the game. In major sports there are different positions and every player knows their position in the field. I am not good at sports so I cannot tell what positions are there but one thing I know is that there are defense and offense in different sports. The Kingdom of God also has defense and offense structure. Before salvation, “…we were enemies of God through wicked works” Colossians 1:21 for we played or served the devil. At salvation, we made peace with God Romans 5:1. We are now on the Lord’s side. Continue reading “We Are At War, Part 1of2, Evans Olang”

We are At War, Part 2of2, Evans Olang

Ephesians 6:10-18, “11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil…”

We looked at how the enemy always gives us the wrong impressions on who to fight. We therefore need to learn how we prepare with the tools and the right clothing.

I face the enemy every single second of the minute of the hour of the days of the months of the year. Sometimes he might just leave me for a season but he is bound to come back. I need to be ready at all times and so should you. Continue reading “We are At War, Part 2of2, Evans Olang”
