Acts 3:1-16, “16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all”
Why do we make faith complicated? Many preachers especially those of Word Faith make faith so complicated and so hard to reach. It is so complicated that it sounds like you have to do it right, you have to follow a recipe or a formula to get it right. This is often crowned with sow a seed faith to get your prayers answered. In other words, how you sow indicates what kind of faith you have. It almost sounds like you must have faith in your faith if anything is to happen in your life and many are miserable because they have been told their faith is not strong to receive.
2Peter 2:1-22, “vs. 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber”
A few months ago I was reading and meditating on 2Peter 2 which deals with false prophets and false teachers in detail and I began to pen a series of messages off it. The more I read, the more I became burdened.
I was led as I am from time to time to address the subject of biblical discernment. Then around that time I was handed an account to work on only to find that it was an account of two ministers I would call false teachers with a very expensive private jet worth millions.
