Mathew 6:9-15, “vs 9…Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name”

Prayer always begins with God and ends with Him. When was the last time you worshipped Him for who He is, mentioned His name, His attributes, His nature in your prayers? While it’s easy to come to prayers with our “give me list”, Jesus taught His disciples to first hallow God’s name.

Matthew 6:9-15, vs. 10, “…your kingdom come, ” Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness“,

Praying effectively is not about ABILITY, it is more about AVAILABILITY. Like a guitar which has no ability to tune itself and play its own tune. When placed in able hands of a skillful player who knows how to play it, he tunes it and makes his own sweet music filled with harmony in the air because it is in the right hands. The same with us, when we avail ourselves, the Holy Spirit takes us, tunes us and plays His own tune of prayer how best He wants to for the glory of God.

Matthew 6:9-15, vs. 10, “… Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven, Psalm 25:, Psalm 103: 7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel”.

This is desiring nothing but His will, that which He has purposed in heaven to be done on earth.

His will in heaven could be interpreted as a plan in blue print, and that plan is brought here on earth to be built. It’s letting God perform His will in our lives. Knowing that anything done by God is perfect, nothing can be added to it and nothing can be taken away from it. He knows our destiny as He had planned for it way before were born. Psalm 127:1, “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain…”
