2Corinthians 12:9, “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

I have shared from this scripture before but for the sake of those who are working under pressure, feeling tired, spent and exhausted like me, we need to hear this again. I find it easy at times to quote a scripture and then find it hard to apply it in a situation. I Will Be With You Says The Lord, Evans Olang

Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

In this life, we need company. We cannot make it alone, we know that. Just because we do not want to be alone does not mean we just need anyone to help us in one way or another, we may just need company, someone present even if they say or do nothing. If you look at a child who is terrified, a parent’s presence is enough to calm him or her down. He or she may not look to the parent to take the fear away; the presence of a parent is enough to overcome their fear. Christ Is In Charge, Evans Olang

Exodus 7:10-13, “10 So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods”

In the bible, we see God taking ordinary things to do extraordinary things to show that the power is not in the thing but on whose hands that things is in. And while he takes the ordinary and uses them extraordinarily, we see on the other hand we see the devil at work displaying his magic tricks. Read the rest of this entry »
