Moved By Feelings And Not By Situations, Part 4of4, Evans Olang

Mark 9:14-29,”…But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us”

To conclude, let’s see the man’s faith and Jesus power did.

Mark 9:25, “… He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you to come out of him and enter him no more!”. There are some things you can ask to leave. Anything terrorizing you and I have to be commanded to leave. The enemy cannot be begged to leave, he has to be commanded. In the case of Joshua, Zechariah 3:1-2“1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! “. Jesus rebuked and commanded. Continue reading

Moved By Feelings And Not By Situations, Part 2of4, Evans Olang

Mark 9:14-29,”…But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us”

If there is a being that loves to put up a show to intimidate people is non other than Satan. And for God to show His great power, He lets Satan in many cases display his powers only to be crushed by God’s. We saw this with Moses in Egypt when Aaron cast Moses’ rod on the ground and it turned into a serpent, did not God let the magicians do the same?, however Moses’ rod turned into a serpent swallowed theirs. Subtle Works Of Satan, Part 3of3, Evans Olang

Matthew 4:1-11, “1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry”

The third temptation in my judgement is the most subtle work of satan so clearly working among believers and yet so blindly received. In the age of feelings and emotions, vast majority do not plumb line feelings and emotions by God’s word and that is a recipee for disaster. Satan appears as an angel of light pretending to fight for believers however his aim is to turn men against God, rebel against God like he did. While pretending to be an angel of light and even using people in authority, he speaks fluttery words to create an appetite. 2Corinthians 11:13-14, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light”

Subtle Works Of Satan, Part 2of3, Evans Olang

Matthew 4:1-11, “1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry”

Another subtle way satan works among believers is to disguise himself with the temptation of presumption. Presumption is a behavior perceived as arrogant, disrespectful, and transgressing the limits of what is permitted or appropriate.

Matthew 4:1-11, “1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry”

There is a subtle move of Satan operating in the Christian circles derailing believers from seeking what is most important to seeking what is temporal. And what is appearing to be the move of God having been wrapped up with a distortion of God’s word is causing many believers to drift from the path they ought to be in.

Following Jesus, On His Terms, Pastor Boaz Olang

Luke 9:23, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me”

Receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the first step to salvation and gateway to God’s kingdom and to the blessings promised in His Word, the Bible. Above and beyond that, Christians are called to a daily walk with Jesus in order for them to receive the abundant life Jesus came to give(John 10:10), live victorious life, do the will of God here on earth and finally, reach heaven, where we shall live in glory with Jesus forever. Mighty In God, Evans Olang

2Corinthians 10:3-5, “3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”

When we hear of spiritual warfare, we immediately think of battling spiritual demonic forces attacking our health, our finances, our families etc. In studying this verse, the spiritual warfare is much much greater than that. If anything, it’s the battle to stay steadfast on what God has revealed in His word and refute those who contradict it.

A Christless Pentecost, Part 5of6, David Wilkerson Inspired by Frank Bartleman

Colossians 1:18-19, “And He is the head of the body, the Church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the pre-eminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell… ” (KJV)

Let me share with you the second way in which we are making Christ a stranger in our midst.

II. Christ Is Made A Stranger When People Praise Him, But Will Not Pray To Him!

Do we pray? Oh, yes! When we need something. We have the formula down pat – “in the name of Jesus.” All we need Him for is to countersign our petition checks before the Father. Continue reading

Overcoming Life Obstacles, Part 5of5, Pastor Boaz Olang

Luke 2:22, “Then because of Divine warning in a dream not to return to Herod, they went back to their own country by a different route”. (Modern Language),

Luke 2:22, “And being warned of God, in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. King James

Today’s word, Change course, if necessary. Everyone dreams of becoming something, or having success or loving someone and or marrying that someone or going somewhere or achieving some goals etc. These are some of the dreams and desires which, when fulfilled, add excitement, joy and happiness in our lives. God, our Heavenly Father wants us to joyous, successful and happy. However, most of the time, we don’t actualize these. We often face unpredictable challenges, traps and even danger that in some cases kill our dreams and us. Continue reading
