Once there was a pair of doves living in the wilderness, not knowing where they would get their next season of rain in the desert land where they were naturally born . This was a dry, hot and desolate place, no food, no water. Total hopelessness. They longed for a difference, for a day that would bring rain and quench their thirst. What strikes is a pair of doves lived in that desert, a rare case that not many times one hears! One day a heavy storm broke and the doves were disillusioned as to how would they go out to get their food, even if it meant dry tweeds from wild plants and worried to leave the nest with their newly born chicks. Daniel 10:12, “Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
We live in time where everything is needed in a hurry. Talk about fast food restaurants, you drop in and get what you want, how you want it and fast. If the process is delayed even a little, frustrations are noticed. We cannot work with God in the same manner, His times are not our times. God sees far beyond what you and I see in the natural and knows what is best. You have to keep on knocking, seeking, asking. It is God’s way or no way as simple as that.
Psalm 42: 1-7, “I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him; before him I tell my trouble. When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me. Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me. Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me”

Phi 4:6, “Be anxious for nothing but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your request be known to God”
It is vital that we pray earnestly, effectively, constantly and by faith. I am talking about beyond our usual prayers, prayers that causes heaven to stop and listen. The prayers that sends hell into chaos. Daniel made these kind of prayers and what did Daniel have that we don’t have at our disposal? If there is one mission the enemy has, it is to stop believers from praying and I think he has succeeded in many levels.
