God And Sinners Reconciled, Pastor Phil Sessa

Posted on Updated on

2Corinthians 5:20, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

Merry CHRISTmas! I love saying that. We live in an age where the world wants us to be culturally tolerant, and politically correct. All other religious “holidays” are not really holidays if we agree that the word holiday is really the word HOLY DAY. How is Kwanza, or Ramadan holy? Kwanza does not focus on Christ, because the focus is on culture and man not on Christ the Lord.

Death In The Pot, Evans Olang

2Kings 4:38-41, vs. 40, “Then they served it to the men to eat. Now it happened, as they were eating the stew, that they cried out and said, “Man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it”

There was famine in the land of Gilgal. It wasn’t famine for truth or love, it was starvation for food. Now Elisha the man of God was with the sons of the prophets who I believe looked up to him as a great prophet and a leader. They knew him as a miracle worker too and even in the midst of this great famine, they believed God could provide a way through his servant Elisha.

Surrendering Your Will To God’s Will, Pastor Boaz Olang

Mark 14:36, “Abba! Father! All things are possible for Thee; remove this cup from me; yet not what I will, but what thou wilt.”

Shortly before Jesus was betrayed and arrested, He was very distressed and troubled to the point of death. He took His three disciples and led them to a lonely place where He could reveal to them the sad condition of His heart and also pray. He said to them: “My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch” And went a little further to pray and He prayed the prayer quoted above. Read the rest of this entry »

Moved By Feelings And Not By Situations, Part 4of4, Evans Olang

Mark 9:14-29,”…But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us”

To conclude, let’s see the man’s faith and Jesus power did.

Mark 9:25, “… He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you to come out of him and enter him no more!”. There are some things you can ask to leave. Anything terrorizing you and I have to be commanded to leave. The enemy cannot be begged to leave, he has to be commanded. In the case of Joshua, Zechariah 3:1-2“1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! “. Jesus rebuked and commanded. Read the rest of this entry »

Mark 9:14-29,”…But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us”

If there is a being that loves to put up a show to intimidate people is non other than Satan. And for God to show His great power, He lets Satan in many cases display his powers only to be crushed by God’s. We saw this with Moses in Egypt when Aaron cast Moses’ rod on the ground and it turned into a serpent, did not God let the magicians do the same?, however Moses’ rod turned into a serpent swallowed theirs. What’s Wrong With The Gospel? Section 1:”The Missing Parts”, Part 1of6, Keith Green 1953-1982

Posted on Updated on

I know that the title of this article will possibly raise some worried eyebrows. At first glance, some might say to themselves, “Oh no, Keith has gone too far this time!” But let me quickly put those possible reactions to rest. To the question, “What’s wrong with the Gospel?” I can easily answer, “Absolutely nothing!” That is, of course, if you’re talking about the Gospel of the Bible – the very message that Jesus preached – what the apostles Peter, Paul, John, and the others devoted their very lives (and deaths) to. (Phil. 1:20-21) Read the rest of this entry »

Foolish Preaching, Part 1of2, Pastor Phil Sessa

Posted on Updated on

1Corinthians 1:18, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

In the landscape of religion and politics the art of preaching is a key component used to persuade people. When the cross of Christ is preached however, it is not preached to promote religion or politics, but true relationship with the Prince of Truth. However, when those that are perishing hear the cross preached, they respond to it as foolishness. Josh McDowell wrote, “It seems to me that either the resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most wicked, vicious, heartless hoaxes ever foisted upon the minds of men, or it is the most fantastic fact of history.Read the rest of this entry »
