See What You Prayed For, Part 1of2, Evans Olang

Genesis 24:21, “And the man, wondering at her, remained silent so as to know whether the Lord had made his journey prosperous or not”

I have granted an awesome opportunity not only to minister to big groups all over the world but also one on one. I find that what someone else needs is exactly what I need. In the process of encouraging them, I am encouraged too. I get a deeper understanding of a scripture and often times God leads me to develop a word from it. Read the rest of this entry »

When To Contend, Part 1of2, Pastor Phil Sessa

Genesis 26;19-22, “19 Also Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water there. 20 But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek [meaning quarrel], because they quarreled with him. 21 Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah. 22 And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land”

After Isaac’s servants uncovered the wells, they also dug new wells. The servant’s continued to dig new wells, but for each new well, there were arguments concerning the new well that had been dug. Read the rest of this entry »

Commend It To God’s Care, Evans Olang

Genesis 21: 14-19, “…Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba”

I would like to take a few moments to minister to the single mothers. Parenting becomes manageable when two parents are present to raise their child or children. Each parent has a responsibility in the life of the child or the children they have. There are things the Father will teach better than the mother and there are things the mother will do a better job than the father. So together they team up to bring the child in the fear and the knowledge of God. It becomes a greater challenge when the mother has to play both the role of the father and the mother in the life of the child or the children. Without the male figure in the home, how would they instill some of the Father like values? Read the rest of this entry »

Honor Of A Son, Evans Olang

Genesis 22:1-19, “9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood”.

With the help of God through His Word, I would like to paint a picture of what I believe a young man’s honor to his father should be by looking at an episode where Isaac is led of his father to be sacrificed. The Bible does not give Isaac’s specific age when God asked Abraham to sacrifice him, but there are events surrounding Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac which gives us clues. Most scholars believe that Isaac was in his late teen’s or early twenties at the time of the offering. Read the rest of this entry »

Genesis 26:15-34, “18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father”

We began to look at undoing what the enemy has done, and that calls for going back to dig the wells covered. People pray for revival and I believe in revival but the definition most people give revival is not actually what it is. Revival is coming again into activity and prominence. Genesis 26:15-34, “18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father”

Wells are dug down deep for water. No one in their right mind digs wells for fun. Human survival depends on water. Christ referred to Himself as the Living Water that quenches the thirst of men. The Samaritan woman in John 4 came to the well to draw water and right at the well, she met Jesus who asked for water then later claimed to have water she needs to make her thirst no more. She desired this water. How about us? Read the rest of this entry »

Numbers 12:1-16, “13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray”

Just to add from “God Defends His Chosen” message, Yahweh’s revelation to Moses was unique. It was direct (plainly) and immediate (face to face); the prophets’ revelations were mediated forms. The clear lesson is that even prophets cannot presume to claim that their message is equal to that of the scriptures. Prophesies do not have the equal authority the bible has. Some prophesies have failed, God’s word has never failed. Read the rest of this entry »
