Exodus 29:19-2, “Take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet…”
First we examined this verse and how the blood was applied to the ear lobe of the high priest Aaron and his sons. Second the blood was applied to the thumb on their right hand. What was so significant about that? well I’m glad you were pondering. Remember Peter wrote, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God…”, 1 Peter 2:9. 1Corinthians 13:1-13, “4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things 8 Love never fails”.

Proverbs 19:22, “What is desired in a man is kindness…”
A father told his son, “if you have nothing nice to say to someone, please don’t say a thing”, he never heard from his father again, the father never had anything nice to say to or about his son. Why is it that we live in a world that shows less or no kindness? Husbands show no kindness to their wives and vise versa, kids are not kind to each other, parents are not kind to their kids, people are not kind to other people. We have murders, abortions, rapes, robbery etc because people are not kind. If everyone was kind as the bible puts it, we wouldn’t have any of these issues to deal with, we would all live in peace and harmony. Read the rest of this entry »
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame”, Song of Songs 8:6
The lover speaks passionately of her desire toward the one whom she is deeply committed to. The lover desires to be set as a seal which would have shown sole possession. An engraved stone or metal seal was a mark of ownership in the ancient world. Possession of another’s seal indicated mutual access and possession. Read the rest of this entry »
