AFLAME!, Christopher J. Keck

2Timothy 1:5-6, “I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. For this reason I remind you to FAN INTO FLAME the GIFT of GOD, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” –

I pray that this day my message finds you and that you’ll be boldly strengthened by the LORD. That the fear of God (Proverbs 1:7) will lead you as the shoes of Christ’s gospel confidently tread forward. We should not be ashamed of HIS testimony, but rather we should share in the SUFFERING for the Gospel by the power of God (2 Timothy 1:8). Read the rest of this entry »

You Bought Me To Make Me Free, Evans Olang

John 12:4-6, “4 But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, 5 “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denari and given to the poor?” 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the moneybox; and he used to take what was put in it”

I never get tired of preaching the gospel or hearing it preached, why? The gospel is the power of God unto salvation, Romans 1:16. This is so powerful that it’s not a sinners prayer or belief or saying sorry that saves, it’s only the power of God that can free one from the slavery of sin. Yes these things I mentioned can bring us closer to be saved; the ultimate work is in the hands of the Lord who we yield to. Psalm 3:8, “Salvation belongs to the LORD”. Read the rest of this entry »

Faith Flavors We Favor, Boaz Olang

Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever “

The “Faith Flavors We Favor” in Today’s Christianity: How Good and Godly are they? By faith flavors we favor, I mean, for example, denominations, churches, doctrines, teachings, personalities, preachers etc. we favor preaching and practicing the opposite of the true Faith. Faith flavors we favor are a constant confusion for sinners to be won for Christ and for saints to be edified by them (nourished) in the Church of Jesus Christ. Read the rest of this entry »

Here I Am Send Me, Part 3of3, Evans Olang

Isaiah 6:1-8, vs. “8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Who is the man of unclean lips, it is one who has given the Lord the lip service but the heart is far away. We Sang songs with our lips but did not honor the Lord with our actions making our lips unworthy. If the angels who I would consider more holy than man could gaze upon the Lord and cover their faces because of His holiness, how much more should we fear God and reverence in His presence? None of us comes even close. At least those who are saved are better off yet we still fall short of God’s glory. What about the lost souls? To quote Matthew Henry, ” Those who are to teach others the knowledge of God ought to be well acquainted with Him themselvesRead the rest of this entry »

Isaiah 6:1-8, vs. “8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go or Us?”Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

In preparation for calling Isaiah to be the prophet, he would proclaim the coming judgment. God gave him a vision of His majestic holiness so overwhelming that it devastated him and made him realize his own sinfulness. Read the rest of this entry »

Isaiah 6:1-8, “8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ” Whom shall I send, And who will go or Us?”Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Isaiah 6 is one of my favorite passages. In the early chapters of the book of Isaiah, we see him having a vision from the Lord concerning the wickedness of Judah. He goes into lengthy detail to address its condition based on the vision. He talks about the future house of God, the day of the Lord, judgment on Judah and Jerusalem, oppression, the renewal of Zion and then in chapter 6 we see dramatic experience that changes him forever.

2Peter 2: Beware Of Toxic Gospel, 5of7, Evans Olang

2Peter 2:2, “And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed”

blog

“…because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed”. The world mocks and scoffs at the gospel of Jesus Christ because of nominal Christians who do not follow the Lord they claim and have been unmasked as hypocritical people.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the people love to have it so. The spreading of error will bring up an evil report on the way of truth; that is, the way of salvation by Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life. The Christian religion is from the God of truth as the author, leads to true happiness in the enjoyment of the true God as the end, and works truth in the inward part as the means of acceptably serving God “ Matthew Henry.
