Romans 1:19 “Because that which be made known about God is manifest [plain] in them, for God hath shewed it unto them (KJV).”
Friends come on various levels. So of us have friends that we refer to as acquaintances, other friends are casual friends, then we have our lose friends, and lastly our intimate friends. Just as we have different levels of friendships with others, so too are there various relationship levels when it comes to knowing God. In Romans 1:19-32, knowing God is a key word that is repeated in the passage and its interesting to see that each of the “knows” refers to one of those relationship levels with God.
The Greek word for “know” in verse 19, is the word Gnostos which means to be an acquaintance, literally “the knowable God.” Read the rest of this entry »
Luke 15:11-31, vs. 29-30, “29 So he answered and said to his father, “Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30, But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’
It’s interesting to know that situations and circumstances bring out something you may have never known was in you. What might have not bothered me before, I now realize it does. Numbers 12:1-16, “13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray”

1 Samuel 2:17-18, “17 Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord. 18 BUT Samuel ministered before the Lord, even as a child, …”
I believe parents have one of the most difficult challenges in raising children. The moment a child is born, the Christian parents raise their children the best they know how in light of God’s word. Still they do not know how their children will turn out to be as they grow older. I think parenting is exciting at the same time very scary. In as much as parents hope and pray that their children turn out right, there is a wonder and fear inside. I am not a parent yet but I am beginning to think and wonder, how will my children turn out to be when God blesses us with them? No one encounters with the end results, only the process.
