One might not imagine something as seemingly minute as a lack of contentment to have a great impact. However when Israel was in the desert having come out of Egypt, it wasn’t too long before Israel would choke on the blessing that God gave to them through their discontentment. Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind to one another, …”

Kindness is rare in our world today. It is rare where we work, on the roads with motorists, at times with parents and kids, husbands and wives. Less or no kindness in the department stores. There are a few people I am scared of dealing with, they are not kind at all. Have you been somewhere seeking help only to be rude to? or your presence was not noticed at all, you received a lousy service? I have. How about on the phone? Giving the best service hoping that in return you get one right there or some other time it does not happen? I tend to hear this line a lot, “What’s the point of being kind when you don’t get it in return”. Can’t even smile at anyone because of what they did to you. Kindness does not look at who is right or wrong, it looks for opportunities to make a difference in a person’s life. Read the rest of this entry »
