Aaron

The Leader’s Covering 1of3, Pastor Phil Sessa

Exodus 29:19-20, “Take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet… “blog2

Aaron was the high priest of Israel and Moses’ right hand man. He was a spiritual leader, and therefore both he and his sons went through a priestly ritual of being consecrated by blood. They were to have blood applied to three of their extremities which were: the lobe of the priest’s right ear, the right thumb, and the right big toe. Peter says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God…“, 1Peter 2:9. Read the rest of this entry »

Our God Is Powerful, Evans Olang

Romans 8:31, “What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

There is nothing exciting as seeing God display His power in situations we have no control over. In the process of God displaying His power, the old silly devil does the same. We often get terrified of his power and find that we are not progressing. I want us to understand that the devil is powerful, no doubt. He has his way of performing magic tricks, no doubt. We cannot render him powerless but we sure can render powerless what he sends our way because of who is for us. God is amazing, He is not going about rendering the enemy powerless, He goes about showing greater power than the devil’s. Read the rest of this entry »

He Has You Covered, Part 2of3, Evans Olang

Genesis 3:1-21, “The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them”

A garment is a type of coat or robe especially used for official purposes. In Genesis after the fall of man, Adam and Eve having had knowledge of their nakedness moved to cover themselves by making for themselves clothing out of leaves. When men fell, 1. Immediately they knew they had failed God, 2. They discovered they were naked and 3. They developed a need to hide. We understand that there are things as human beings we can do on our own and might work but the truth is, it will not last for long. They had leaves covering them not realizing that leaves would soon dry up and fall off. So man tries so hard to cover his nakedness only for it to work but for a season. The bible tells me that there are things that if God does not do, anything someone else will do will be in vain. Psalm 127:1, “Except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it: Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh in vain”. I would say that this verse means that anything you are going to do if the Lord is not involved in it, however hard you try and do it, it will never work. Read the rest of this entry »

When God Is Robbed Of His Glory, Evans Olang

Numbers 20:1-13, “12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

The challenge we have as believers especially leaders is constantly walking in humility obeying God. The struggles comes when people are pushing you out of God’s will because they want you please them whatever the cost, or sometimes you are punishing God’s people because of their struggles. God Defends His Chosen, Evans Olang

Numbers 12:1-16, “3 Now the man Moses was very humble (meek), more humble than all men who were on the face of the earth”

The game of life is always two sides, the opposing side and the proposing side. Not everyone will agree to one thing equally, there will be some who will oppose it. At times what is allowed to win is what the majority have voted for regardless of whether it is good or bad, true or false. The vastly voted for will be used to silence what it is voted against. When you know what is right, who will stand with you when they have voted against you? Read the rest of this entry »

Keep Lifting Your Hands, Part 2of2, by Evans Olang

Exodus 17:1-16, “And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed”

Exodus 17:8, “Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim”, many nations were afraid of Israel because God was with the Israelites. The bible says that every land they passed through, they won the battle for God was with them. With God with you, you can win battles you couldn’t win by yourself. No wonder in one of the chapters Moses tells God, “If Your presence is not going with us, do not move us from this place“, and in Isaiah 26:4 we are told, “ Trust in the LORD forever,For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength”. Bear One Another’s Burdens, Evans Olang

Galatians 6:2, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ”

We all go through seasons, we have those seasons you need someone to help you bear your burden. Even Moses who was strong to lead the Israelites out of the land of Egypt needed someone to help him bear the burdens. At one point while Joshua was battling Amalekites, their victory depended on Moses keeping his hands raised up high.
