Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for of lack of knowledge (in other words because of ignorance): Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee….”
What you don’t know can destroy you or deprive you of what is rightfully yours. Ignorance has no defense, someone once said.
Today, I would like to expose you to some fundamental biblical knowledge (truth) to meditate on that will help you understand and know your true self (person). Knowing who you are and whose you are is the key to your rightful position and possessions in the kingdom of God. Your life cannOt be meaningful, happy, satisfying and complete in this world without you fully understanding, from the Bible’s point of view, what God has done for you; what position God has put you and; what possessions you are entitled to as a child of God. God’s children have rights, privileges, favors, and blessings that are not available to everybody.
Who are you in the Kingdom of God? What is your relationship with God? If you don’t have a relationship with God, you don’t have a right to any of his blessings.
If you are born again, then you are a child of God. You have been empowered to be a bon-fide, legitimate child of God. God’s blood is running in your veins and any spiritual DNA test will reveal that you have a relationship with Christ. The Bible confirms that.
“He came to his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God”, (John 1:11-13)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord and Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead….” (1Peter 1:3) The new relationship is a favor, privilege, blessing and honor that God has extended to all of us who were ones nothing but sinners destined for hell. For all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23).
But he has chosen you and translated you from servant-hood to sonship. Jesus said to his disciples whom he had empowered to become children of God just like you and I, “…Hence forth I call you not servants; for the servant does not know what his Lord does;…Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained YOU ….” (John 15:15-16)
Rise up today; think, walk, talk, act and live like a true child of God. Forget about your temporary misery, problems, challenges or lack. You have everything in Christ. Let not the lies of Satan confuse you. Stand and declare what is written. Praise God and rejoice over your new relationship with Him. Amen! God bless you. Blessings Boaz
