Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
God has a grand plan to bless your life in a very special way. How do you get to know what plans He has for you? What do you need to do to receive His blessings, both spiritual and material? Here are a few recommendations to meditate on today:
First, you need to have a relationship with Him. You must be made His child and remain his forever (John 1:12). Only God’s children have inheritance to the blessings of God. The righteous shall inherit the earth, the Bible says.
Second, you need to search the word of God and find out every promise he has given which assures you of His blessings. The word of God is His will for your life. He knows the plans that He has for you. Do you know them?
“For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”, Jeremiah 29:11
God has good thoughts and plan toward His children. However, He expects His children to have personal expectation. What you expect, is what God confirms and releases in you. You cannot have what God has if you do not desire it and expect it. Your desire and expectation, faith, in Gods ability and willingness to bless you, are your elevators to His throne room where mercy and goodness dwells. So, get into the elevators.
Third, you must follow the Lord Jesus Christ’s teaching and instruction on how to prosper. The Bible is the authentic source of God’s instruction. It reveals the mind, ways and will of God. When read, understood, believed and applied, you get what God has promised. What you desire, pray for and you believe is what you can expect from God when you are sure it is in line with His will. Jesus said:“Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them.”, Mark 11:24
The verse is specifically talking about things. Moreover, we do need things. Things, perhaps, are the greatest concern of your life today. That is why we are working hard so we can afford things. God has no problem giving things as long as things will not draw you away from Him and hinder your fruitfulness in the Christian life and ministry. You are saved by grace and, have been preserved for His purpose only. When you desire, pray and believe for anything that will help you fulfill His purpose, be sure you will have it.
Ask god today to fill your heart with godly desires. Ask Him in prayer to grant you the desires of your heart. Believe, wait and receive, in His time, your expectation. Do not limit God to your own desires and dreams. Let God and let go of yours.
