Ezekiel 22:30, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap (intercede) before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one”
One of my prayers, “God raise up more prayer warriors to pray like never before and they will also put legs to their prayers and be used by God to reach many“.Prayer is powerful. We pray to God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ by the help and the power of the Holy Spirit. Wow, that is powerful.
2Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sins and heal their land”. I take this scripture verse and a few things leap out for my better understanding. “If My people …” we’ve been identified with God to be called His people, if so, then we are called by His name. This is the struggle, “…Will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face”. Humility is what God looks at when He wants to bring you up, if you can be humble He will exalt you in due season, 1Peter 5:6 reads, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty Hand of God that He may exalt you in due season“. This is where all the preparation takes place, this is where we are motivated by reality that if He does not do it, it cannot be done.
“Praying” has so many sides to it, number one it reveals to us where we are and what changes we need to make in our lives before we can be used, praying will also reveal to you what is in God’s heart for a situation. Prayer will lead you and I to a place of repentance not just for our individual lives but for families, community, city, state, country, you name it. “…Seek My face“, seek is to look hard with so as to find. Not seeking His hands or His legs but seeking His face. Why seek His face, several reasons, for example seeking His face would mean seeing a Holy God and desiring to be holy as He is. Every time Moses came back from the Mountain, He had the seen the face of God (presence of God) that he came back with a glowing face. That would mean, being changed in the presence of the Living God. Through encountering with God will put salt in our mouths to hunger and thirst for righteousness to the extent of turning from our wicked ways. It’s in the process of turning from our wicked ways that God hears our prayers. Without repentance, however hard we pray, our sins block the flow of prayer and God hearing them. The Holy Spirit is so sensitive to sin, the moment He detects sin, He shuts the power off that causes prayer to flow. And if the Holy Spirit helps and empowers our prayers, how will He reach God the Father if He shuts the power off? Think of it, the Spirit is Holy that is why He is called “HOLY SPIRIT”. Thank God, there is forgiveness of sin and then healing of the land which in other words, cleansing and provision. To continue, Blessings Ev
