He Has You Covered, Part 1of3, Evans Olang

Genesis 3:1-21, “The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them”

The book of Genesis is known as the book of the beginnings, it’s the book that reveals creation and the purpose of God for humanity. It presents us with the picture of God being a skillful Creator who does things in skillful ways. If that is not enough, we see things working and moving systematically in the order of creation. Everything God created was done step by step and each step He looked back and concluded it was good. I’m amazed at His creativity, the thinking and planning in the sense that He did not create man on the first day otherwise where would He put him? Many other things begin to make sense when you look at the structure in which He took to make things come out. To continue my amazement at His work, He called things into existence and everything He spoke into existence had no choice but to obey the voice of the Creator, the bible says in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”.

When He speaks, living and none living things hears and act according to His voice. When it came to making man, He reached to the ground and formed man. He did not speak man into existence, He created and formed man into existence and ever since, the Lord is concerned about man because He created human being with a desire that He will live and fellowship with Him. Man had no need to be a shamed of anything for He was covered by the glory of God. Adam and Eve were not led by their own wisdom and knowledge, they were led by the auspicious presence of God, always showering them day and night. Man was complete, perfect, in place until he made a choice. In as much as God created man and showered him with everything, He gave him a will to make choices, but not before He told them of what would happen if they made certain choices. If the Lord did not tell them of the outcomes, we would say they did not know and shouldn’t be blamed but there was explanation for every choice. The bible says that behold I have set blessings and curses before you, choose. Choose ye this day whom you will serve either be God or mammon.

The fall of man stripped him of the covering he had and all of a sudden, man began living in shame, feeling naked running away from the Lord. He started shifting blames and since then, it’s hard for man to be healed while living in deception. Listen to this, 1John 1:8 says, “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us”, 1John 1:10, “If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His words is not in us”. It’s hard for man to take responsibility for his actions and therefore healing becomes hard. One thing I believe is that we will not be healed if we are living in lies, we cannot force wrong things to be right, we cannot justify what is not accepted. If the Lord hated it then, He still hates it today and there is no shortcut or any way around it, the only way is, repent and be ye saved.

Praise to His name, He has so many ways to raise us up when we fail, but we have to be willing to admit that we have failed. No one can lead someone who feels that they know the way, You and I do not know the way for if we know Him not, we know not the way. John 14:6, “…I Am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh to the Father, but by Me”. Mark the way it puts it, I Am “THE” way not I Am “A” way. If He said “I Am” “A” way, it would have messed everything up for that implies that He is one of the ways and so there must be other ways. He distinguished and made Himself the command factor by saying He is “The way” meaning the only way and He is THE truth and THE life. Choose you this day by whose way you will go. Blessings Ev
