Order Creates Harmony, Evans Olang

Proverbs 31:25, “Strength and honor are her clothing;”

Things work well when they are in order. Where there is no order, expect chaos (disorder). Evolution talks about a big bang, however a bang does not create order. A bomb can create a bang but it will not create order and so is a gun. Music not played in the right chords will not produce order or harmony. If you were to build a house without laying materials in proper order, expect a disaster. Study closely the creation and see order from day one to day six. God did not create man on day one, I will let you figure why. Emphasis has to be put also in the right order. Some people think we are BODY, SOUL and SPIRIT, the word of God emphasizes, SPIRIT, SOUL and BODY. Body becomes last because it is temporal. Where you put much emphasis matters a lot. Hopefully we understand the need for order in all things.

Proverbs 31:30, “Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised”. Fearing God is the definition of our existence, it’s the foundation by which the rest of the characteristics that makes a person begins. Charm, beauty, dignity, character can all be traced back to this firm foundation. Anytime this introduction is wrong, it has a tendency to affect every other thing on the way. It is from this introduction that we all learn our rightful positions and the order of things. This is the vertical relationship, the mirror by which you reflect in someone’s life what you have learned from the Master of our destiny. A man who understands that Jesus Christ sacrificed His life’s blood for the church will likewise love his wife sacrificially and passionately. He will honor, respect, protect, love and cherish her as much as he does his own body. He will not harm her or demean her in anyway. It is in the atmosphere of love and security that a godly wife willingly submits herself to the protective arms of her husband. Can you see the order? Christ first loved the church, the church in response to that love submitted to Him. Missing one step means missing the whole process.

Proverbs 31:25, “Strength and honor are her clothing; “. It is vital to know what makes you who you are. You ask yourself, is it your looks or character that people value? For the woman talked about here in Proverbs, her greatest clothing are not her charm and beauty but strength and honor. I am in no way saying that beauty is left out, all I am saying it is put in its rightful place and all that is more cultivated on is her character. She is praised for her strength and honor, strength because God is her strength and the joy of the Lord is her strength, and honor, because her husband honors her. Her sense of worth depends on her strength from God (vertical relationship) and her honor from her husband (Horizontal relationship). Husbands ought to HONOR their wives. Honor is high respect or esteemed, as that shown for a special merit, it is also recognition. Material gifts may play part but I believe the greatest gift is “honor” because it lasts. This is what brings her confidence, feeling of appreciation, loved unconditionally, feeling valued, feeling secure etc. These becomes her clothing, what she is proud of. When she is strengthened, she has greater avenues to blossom and maintain a moral position firmly. Some cultures do not promote honoring women but the bible puts women in a higher place. With the husbands honoring their wives, they can be the means by which God could take their wives far. At times you need someone to strengthen your faith during those times you do not have faith to go far, to believe in your God given potentials to go further than you thought. When you stand on the shoulder of the one who loves and believes in you, you can see further than what you could see by yourself.

Understanding the order of things and applying them in their rightful places can open doors for greater things. Let us learn how to unlock great blessings by setting things right. Husbands love and honor your wives. Remember, order creates harmony. Blessings Ev
