Matthew 6:9-15, vs. 10, “… Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven, Psalm 25:, Psalm 103: 7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel”.
This is desiring nothing but His will, that which He has purposed in heaven to be done on earth.
His will in heaven could be interpreted as a plan in blue print, and that plan is brought here on earth to be built. It’s letting God perform His will in our lives. Knowing that anything done by God is perfect, nothing can be added to it and nothing can be taken away from it. He knows our destiny as He had planned for it way before were born. Psalm 127:1, “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain…”
When we work we work but when we pray, God works. God’s work must be done God’s way!!! Men’s principles are based on reason, God’s principles require obedience. Completely yielded to God in obedience, to His leading. When your will is in conflict with His will, you abandon your will and yield to His, Psalm 40:8, Psalm 143:10. Loosing oneself for Him (Dying). Being dead to sin and alive unto Christ destroys more enemies that come our way and produces much fruit. Jesus could gain fruit while alive, but He says, “but if it dies (grain of wheat), it produces MUCH grain”. In His death we have eternal life. In his death souls are still being won into the kingdom 2,000 years later. Matthew 10:39, “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it”, Galatians 2:20, John 12:24, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.”
Come Follow Me! Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, take my yoke upon you. The call is to yoke yourselves to the sovereign will and purpose of Christ. His people are people that have heard His call, it’s been a call from something, to something. It’s been a call from self- will, from ruling one’s own life, from living to please one’s self, to gratify one’s self. Living under the government and direction of one’s own whim and fancy, to an entirely new government; no longer I but thy, not my will but thy will be done. Luke 22:42, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” “5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday”, Psalm 37:5-6.
A WILL is not in effect as long as the person is alive Hebrews 9:16-17, “16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives”. So are we the believers, God’s will is not in effect as long as we are still alive. Oh how I desire to die daily that His will may be in effect. Daily walk is hard with the enemy of our soul on the loose, I take comfort knowing that there is more victory in my life, marriage, ministry, and my job as I die daily and His will will take effect in my life. There are some victories we get when we live, but greater victories I believe are achieved when we die. Die to what?, die to self. Our will wants to be alive, may the Lord slay it.
Permitted May Not Mean Approved: 1Samuel 8:7, “And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them”. Insisting on getting your wishes is a sure guarantee of missing God’s will, for God may grant or permit a wish, without approving of it, for He approves and affirms His will only. Blessings Ev
