Proverbs 10:22, “The blessings of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it”
Blessings are very vital. We see in some cultures where the old bless their children before they pass. Some bless their children in their early stage of life. We also have a loving God who is concerned about us and wants to bless us.
Psalm 68:19, “Blessed be the Lord our God who daily loads us with benefits”, if you look at the way it has started, you can see that it refers to a blessed God, God of abundance, God of more than enough, God of too much. He is blessed in turn blesses His people. Only God could be rich to bless His children, not once a year especially during Christmas, he does it every day and every year. He daily loads us with benefits (blessings).
Look at how God promised His blessings upon the children of Israel, Deut 28:1-3, “1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.Please take time to read Deut 28 and you will see how God had prepared blessing after blessing if the children of Israel hearkened unto His voice. Isaiah 1:19, “If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land”, this is another promise of blessings if we do what the Lord requires of us. The Israelites were given guidelines to receiving their blessing. We too have been given guidelines to receiving our blessings. Proverbs 28:20, “A faithful man shall abound with blessings, but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent”, Ephe 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: “. This is all about obedience
Proverbs 10:22, “The blessings of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it”,What a bountiful blessing from the Lord that makes us rich. The riches here more than wealth and material things, if anything it would be at the bottom of the list. God makes us rich in spiritual blessings, physical blessings, emotional blessings, wisdom blessings, blessings in your walk with Him, blessings in your going out and coming in, everything you touch God blesses, your family is blessed, your children are blessed, your husband or wife is blessed, your boyfriend or girlfriend is blessed. You are blessed in your job, you are blessed in the ministry, blessings overtaking you. If you’ve been whining about what has not been done, can you stop for a second and look back and see the bountiful blessings the Lord has bestowed upon you? His love is a blessing, His touch is a blessing, His words are a blessing and come to think about it, we are more blessed than we think. I don’t have to receive Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, or people’s appreciation to feel blessed. The Lord daily loads me with blessings. Mark this word, “You are not only blessed when you have received blessings, you are blessed while you are on the verge of waiting for it“. God is bringing us from a land of less than enough blessings to a land of just enough (living on miracles) blessings to ultimately bring us to a land of more than enough blessings. “Behold I set before you this day, blessings and curses, choose wisely“, says the Lord.
